• What is a waiting list and how can I join one?

                         I use a waiting list for people interested in a pet that sells out quickly. For example: If you like the Crested Zebra Finch, you can join the waiting list for free. Then who ever is first on the list, gets to come see the ones they like and either take them home or place a deposit until they are ready.

How much is a deposit?

                      For Zebra Finches, the deposit is $5.00. For Java, Gouldian, Star, and European Finches the deposit is $20.00. Deposit for parakeets are $8.00. All deposits are non-refundable!

• Can we visit Armando's Aviaries?

                     Armando's Aviaries is not a pet shop. I breed these pets in my private-owned home, however if you would like to visit you must set up an appointment. Visits are on weekends only, in the morning/afternoon hours, or weekdays after 4pm. I'm sorry for any inconvenience.

• Are the pets healthy!

                ALL OF OUR PETS ARE HEALTHY! WE WILL NEVER SELL A SICK ANIMAL! ALL PETS COME WITH A GUARANTEE! BIRDS WILL COME WITH SALE CERTIFICATE, PEDIGREE, REGISTERED BAND, AND A HEALTH CERTIFICATE*.

YES! Armando's Aviaries offers a three day health guarantee. In order to receive a refund or store credit (at discretion of the owner), the customer must provide a document signed by a licensed veterinarian stating the cause of death.

Armando's Aviaries only accepts cashier checks, money orders, and cash.

E-mail for a quote. Prices start at $40 including a box. (sometimes cheaper than pick-up)

Delivery is possible locally for a small fee usually $0.25-$0.50 a mile. A minimum $50 purchase required!

Pick up must be arranged for a week end or late afternoon on week days. Appointment must be made at least 2 days in advance unless otherwise noted.

Age - If a bird is banded you will receive the actual year of birth, however if a bird is not banded you will receive the most accurate approximation of age, otherwise there are no age guarantees.

Sex- Armando's Aviaries will provide the best possible determination of the sex of a bird. By nature, it is sometimes very difficult to distinguish the gender of a bird, unless there is DNA testing performed. There are no sex guarantees, however, we are human, and if there was an honest mistake, I would be more than happy to exchange a bird for the appropriate sex wanted, if that bird is available for sale.
